- What You'll Do
- The Electrical Engineer will provide in-depth research and analysis of foreign systems in support of US Navy efforts to develop and validate weapon design, countermeasures, and tactics.
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for analysis and testing of electronic systems to include digital, analog, radio-frequency (RF), microcontroller, digital signal processing (DSP), digital forensics and various sensor components.
- Perform data extractions using both intrusive/non-intrusive methods on a wide variety of components.

Responsibilities
- Principal site representative in all matters pertaining to the Task Order.

- Responsible for the design, implementation and performance of projects or tasks in accordance with Task Order requirements.

Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on HVAC systems and components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend or perform preventive maintenance. Cleans, lubricates, and repacks the working parts of the system.
- Tracks performance of routine and preventative maintenance to ensure availability of HVAC systems and troubleshoot HVAC/R systems with complex problems and extensive repairs, requiring judgement to locate malfunctions.

- Independently perform recurring work on exhaust fans, boilers, air handlers, pump, motors, air dryers, and other related HVAC equipment including, but not limited to, HVAC control and monitoring systems.
- Installs, modifies, overhauls, repairs, and maintains a variety of complex HVAC equipment air conditioning, air handlers, pumps, motors, valves, heating systems, and associated auxiliary and control equipment.
- Works with engineering or scientific personnel to discuss plans, modifications, and user needs. Reviews available plans, specifications, or drawings; determines the size, shape, and location of equipment.
- Performs design, modification, maintenance, and repair of critical environmental and energy support systems and associated highly sensitive state-of-the-art computerized controls and air quality monitoring systems located within US-Only areas of Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs).
- Provides critical advanced technical knowledge in support of unique security requirements inherent in Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) operations including sound baffling techniques / equipment and the resolution of compromising electrical currents, as sustainment of high system availability rates.
- Produces classified technical documentation outlining in depth technical findings and recommendations.

- Performs periodic, worldwide deployments in strategic and tactical mobile facility environments. Provides expert technical assistance for a 24-hour operational environment with limited documentation resources.
- Responds to off-duty (evening and weekend) calls to support critical system outages and to provide rapid fault isolation and resolution concerning environmental factors affecting ISR system performance to include developing technical documentation for ISR support system layouts.
- Supports U.S. Army systems on site whenever and wherever deployed. Available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support to U.S. forces worldwide, military contingency missions, and requirements in potentially hazardous work environments.
- HVAC technicians shall perform a daily surveillance walk-through, at the beginning and before the end of their shift, of all position description related equipment locations to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
- Technician shall be knowledgeable of all current safety policies, procedures, and required personal protection equipment (PPE) related to their assigned job description in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), facility, system equipment security, Environmental Compliance Assessment Protocol (ECAP) and National Electrical Code (NEC) safety standards.

ResponsibilitiesMajor Job Activities:Provides support to USAFCENT for ground to ground, ground to air, and beyond line of sight communication requirements. - Prior military or civilian equivalent experience in Military Occupational Skill (MOS) 45B, 45K or 91F desired.
- Experience using required tools (i.e., hand and power tools, hammers, punches, files, stones, precision gauges, test instruments, and alignment devices) in making repairs, modifications, and adjustments.

Responsibilities

- Provide continuous integrity of highly classified and complex physical security systems installed in U.S. 251 Forces operational facilities worldwide. - Perform complex Electromagnetic Interference / Radio Frequency Interference (EMI/RFI) analyses and make recommendations for mitigation. Maintain baseline information for U.S. military unique physical security systems.
- Perform complicated diagnostics, fault isolation, and maintenance of complex electronic analog and digital communications, telecommunications equipment, and Radio Frequency (RF) systems High Frequency through Microwave (HF through MW).

Responsibilities
- Responsible for electrical infrastructure of Unit facilities ensuring power to mission critical facilities maintained to include developing repair and renovation of electrical projects.
- Provide technical assistance and support in electrical maintenance, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and hands-on repairs.
- Install and maintain low-voltage (480/277, 600 volts) and below (50/60 HZ) single and multi-phase power wiring. Install feeder and branch circuits including conduit, service wire, fuse and breaker panels, switches, 235 outlets, junction and outlet boxes, lighting fixtures, splices, connectors, and ground wiring for red and black installations. Ensure that the material used, and workmanship meets the requirements of the applicable technical and safety standards.
- Knowledgeable of all current safety policies, procedures, and personal protection equipment (PPE) required for their assigned job description IAW OSHA safety standards. This includes, but not limited to, fall protection requirements and confined spaces. Technician shall wear appropriate safety equipment at all times while performing their assigned task.
- Attend periodic safety training classes related to the job description.
- Provide detailed reports on equipment failures, maintenance requirements, and lifecycle replacements.
- Submit work order documentation to DPW for building / equipment repairs.
- Perform a weekly inspection and a monthly load test on the Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS). Records shall be created and maintained for all EPSS inspections, operational tests, exercising, repairs, and modifications. NFPA 110 and manufacturer recommendations shall be used as a guide for routine maintenance and operational testing. A written schedule for routine maintenance and operational testing of the EPSS shall be established and updated quarterly.
- Respond to service calls and preventive maintenance inspections orally or in writing through computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) regarding malfunctioning / inoperable equipment.
- Use U.S. Army quality assurance procedures to ensure that the material used, and workmanship meet the requirements of the applicable DoD and military specifications, criteria, procedures, and technical / safety standards.
- Provide electrical design input to engineering installation plans and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
- Provide 24-hour, 7-day quick reaction technical support to mission critical equipment.
- Perform power quality measurements on the commercial and technical power of the facility, and plan actions for correction of any deficiencies.
- Support U.S. Army systems on site whenever and wherever deployed. Available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support to U.S. forces worldwide military contingency missions and requirements in potentially hazardous work environments.
- Electrician technicians shall perform a daily surveillance walk-through at the beginning and before the end of their shift of all position description related equipment to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
- Assist in oversight or escort for contractors on repair / renovation projects, as required.
