In addition, they are responsible for scheduling, forecasting, capacity planning, and production for the Curotto-Can business unit.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
  • Oversee all Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving, Materials Handling and Transportation activities.
  • Responsible for all direct and indirect material purchases.
  • Coordinate internal manufacturing and external supplier activities to meet cost, schedule and performance metrics.
  • Creation and maintenance of Curotto-Can production schedule.
  • Lead material / inventory control & planning activities including the coordination of cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Design and coordinate material movement including receiving, supermarkets, shipping, and kitting to point of use.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities within all areas of responsibility.
  • Establish KPI’s to measure and control department performance and create action plans to improve / correct deviations
  • Ensure accuracy of data in ERP system including locations, quantities on hand, and value.
  • Be a leader in our effort of Continuous Improvement as it pertains to Safety, Quality, On-time Delivery and Cost metrics.
  • Participate in SIOP meetings and provide all necessary supporting data / metrics
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Ensure timely and accurate material movement transactions (receipt, put-away, pick, issue, ship)
  • Work closely with carriers to ensure products are shipped and delivered per customer delivery schedules.
  • Work with HR, Maintenance, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure adequate safety procedures and equipment are in place for all team members
  • Lead root-cause, corrective-action exercise for transportation or material delivery related issues
  • Manage Raw and FG Materials Warehouse projects on time and within budget
  • Enforce and implement company policy, safety rules and regulations
  • Provide effective team leadership to develop and maintain a robust team. Mentor and assist others in expanding their skill sets and knowledge base.
  • Up to 5% minimal travel is required.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Material Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or any associated field or equivalent level of experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build and lead teams and can relate to people at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient with ERP systems (JDE a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage several complex projects concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent lean skills and experience leading change in other environments.
  • Microsoft Office experience required – including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
