Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections on HVAC systems and components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend or perform preventive maintenance. Cleans, lubricates, and repacks the working parts of the system.
  • Tracks performance of routine and preventative maintenance to ensure availability of HVAC systems and troubleshoot HVAC/R systems with complex problems and extensive repairs, requiring judgement to locate malfunctions.
  • Respond to service calls and preventive maintenance inspections and produce reports in writing through computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) regarding malfunctioning / inoperable equipment.
  • Respond to emergencies during and after hours to resolve issues. Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in HVAC systems for identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.
  • Install, repair, and maintain large commercial and industrial ventilation, refrigeration, air conditioning (AC), and cooling systems with complex problems and extensive repairs.
  • Independently perform recurring work on exhaust fans, boilers, air handlers, pump, motors, air dryers, and other related HVAC equipment including, but not limited to, HVAC control and monitoring systems.
  • Installs, modifies, overhauls, repairs, and maintains a variety of complex HVAC equipment air conditioning, air handlers, pumps, motors, valves, heating systems, and associated auxiliary and control equipment.
  • Works with engineering or scientific personnel to discuss plans, modifications, and user needs. Reviews available plans, specifications, or drawings; determines the size, shape, and location of equipment.
  • Performs design, modification, maintenance, and repair of critical environmental and energy support systems and associated highly sensitive state-of-the-art computerized controls and air quality monitoring systems located within US-Only areas of Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs).
  • Provides critical advanced technical knowledge in support of unique security requirements inherent in Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) operations including sound baffling techniques / equipment and the resolution of compromising electrical currents, as sustainment of high system availability rates.
  • Produces classified technical documentation outlining in depth technical findings and recommendations.
  • Provides design, emergency non-routine fault isolation of smoke removal systems, fire detection / suppression equipment used exclusively in critical, highly sensitive Military Forces installations.
  • Performs system and subsystem diagnostics and scheduling and maintaining complex electronic environmental systems, calibration, and lubrication of unique components and controls used to provide and monitor precise environmental conditions within SCIFs housing unique military intelligence equipment, scientific devices, and technologies.
  • Performs periodic, worldwide deployments in strategic and tactical mobile facility environments. Provides expert technical assistance for a 24-hour operational environment with limited documentation resources.
  • Responds to off-duty (evening and weekend) calls to support critical system outages and to provide rapid fault isolation and resolution concerning environmental factors affecting ISR system performance to include developing technical documentation for ISR support system layouts.
  • Supports U.S. Army systems on site whenever and wherever deployed. Available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support to U.S. forces worldwide, military contingency missions, and requirements in potentially hazardous work environments.
  • HVAC technicians shall perform a daily surveillance walk-through, at the beginning and before the end of their shift, of all position description related equipment locations to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
  • Technician shall be knowledgeable of all current safety policies, procedures, and required personal protection equipment (PPE) related to their assigned job description in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), facility, system equipment security, Environmental Compliance Assessment Protocol (ECAP) and National Electrical Code (NEC) safety standards.
  • To include, but not limited to, fall protection requirements, confined spaces, oil spills and HVAC liquid chemicals handling.
  • Technician shall also wear their appropriate safety equipment at all times while performing their assigned task.
  • Technicians shall also be required to periodically attend safety training classes related to their job description.
  • Submit work order documentation to DPW for building / equipment repairs.
  • Performs day-to-day operations of variety building operations systems as needed, including Tridium Niagara Open Framework controls system and other common closed framework controls system such as JCI Metasys, etc.
  • Uses a variety of hand tools, interpreting control drawings, plans and specifications to mount, assemble, test, and program the controls system.
  • Maintain and update system schematics through red line system changes and create, if necessary, mechanical and control system schematics.
  • Maintain logs of temperature, humidity, pressure differentials of operating rooms and other critical spaces.
  • Make any repairs or adjustments to electrical controls of HVAC equipment to maintain temperature, humidity, and pressure differentials per regulatory requirements.
  • As required, assist in oversight or escort for contractors on repair / renovation projects.
QualificationsEducation / Certifications:
  • College, Vocational School, or High School diploma or equivalent and a combination of 10 years of education and experience leading to licensure as a Master HVAC, or equivalent licensure or certification at a State level, OR
  • 12 years of experience in an equivalent Military HVAC training / certification.
Security Clearance Requirement:
  • Must be a US Citizen with Final Top-Secret Clearance based upon a TIER 5 Background Investigation, and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704.
  • Some positions or assignments may require a Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph, especially those requiring access to TDN2.

Responsibilities
  • Possess EPA 608 Type II (or Universal) certification.
  • Performs facilities and datacenter Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) / Refrigeration Systems (Compressor, Condenser, Evaporator, and Expansion devices) troubleshooting, adjustments, modifications, inspections, repair, and Preventive Maintenance (PM).
  • Provide support with installation of major HVAC / Refrigeration system and its components (including, but not limited to, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, air conditioning equipment, VAV boxes, fan coil units, CRAH units, in-row coolers, pumps, boilers, exhaust fans, distribution system, DDC control devices, and HVAC associated electrical systems).
  • Routinely inspects HVAC / Refrigeration systems and their components as defined above and track all repairs and PM to ensure availability of HVAC/R systems. Clean, lubricate, and repack the working parts of the systems.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, integrate, and maintain automation systems.
  • Analyze system functions and failures to isolate and define problem areas.
  • Monitor the reachability of all connections within the network, adhering to circuit restoral priorities and initiate troubleshooting to restore full network capability.
  • Monitor system performance, track usage, develop, and deliver a trend analysis of system load, usage, and response.

Responsibilities
  • Analyzes various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance / repair activities for one or more programs.
  • Conducts complex inventory, distribution and network studies, monitors inventory, and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times.
  • Collects, processes, and maintains data for analysis. Develops enterprise and/or program-level supply chain reports and metrics in areas such as transportation costs, parts procurement, back orders, and delivery processes for senior management.
  • Identifies, evaluates and develops procedures that are cost effective and meet business objectives. Recommends improvements to existing or planned logistics processes.
  • Monitors the external environment and internal trends to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) in the supply chain.
  • Provides detailed analysis of end-to-end performance. Documents, tracks and reports the flow of materials and equipment between requestor, approver, buyer, vendor, freight forwarder, receiving HUB, and receiving site to ensure items are being delivered from the vendor, properly received at the freight forwarder, receipts and invoices match, and payments are authorized in a timely manner.
  • Monitors inventory and analyzes requirements to assist in the development of strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates.
  • Provides analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals.
  • Coordinates logistics activities with internal / external customers.
  • Point of contact for order status to requestors and supply-chain related queries to procurement and freight forwarders.
  • Interacts with customers to understand their distribution network.
  • May participate in inter-departmental task forces charged with improving supply chain performance.
  • Develops new and refines existing internal analysis tools.

  • Manage software security related parameters, including Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Anti- Virus (AV) software, and Firewalls (FW); Use Security Information Event Management (SIEM) software to investigate possible Offensive Information Operations (OIO).

Responsibilities
  • As lead Subject Matter Expert (SME), establishes definitions, evaluates operational requirements, and provides technical requirements to meet approved customer operational requirements for new equipment and techniques to address potential new signals in connection with radar, electronic counter-measurers (ECM), and communication signals and analyses and documentation.

  • Develop documentation to support objectives in support of external agencies and INSCOM Commanders.

QualificationsEducation / Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major or concentration in Business, History, Political Science, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or twelve (12) years equivalent technical experience with TROJAN communications systems.
Experience:
  • Experience working at higher staff levels; preferably Division level staff or equivalent.
  • Able to maneuver in small spaces and lift 50 lbs.
