We refer to these audits as “Supplier Technical Assessments” (STAs), and they are typically requested by the end user of the product. The expectations for this position include:JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Meeting with customers to understand their needs and concerns about the equipment that will be supplied.
  • Outlining checklists for audits that will cover the customer's concerns and help provide confidence in the equipment manufactured.
  • Meeting with vendors to understand the processes used and what strengths or possible weaknesses there might be in the final product's results.
  • Auditing vendors using the prepared checklists that focus on ensuring quality results for the products under consideration.
  • Managing audits performed globally by other local offices, including scheduling, communicating expectations, and reviewing the audit reports.
  • Aid business development group in identifying new ways BV's technical capabilities can provide value for customers.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES
  • Successfully deliver timely and accurate audit reports to clients.
  • Achieve strategic objectives defined by company management.
  • Help develop and execute strategic account plans to meet customer needs.
ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
  • Reports to the Director of Operation for BVNAM - Energy Technical Center
  • Collaborates with the VP of Business Development on proposal preparation for new opportunities utilizing engineering support during the FEED stage of projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related).
  • Quality Management System certification preferred (ISO 9001)
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering and/or manufacturing process work
  • Experience auditing shops (either internally or externally) with a focus on technical capabilities
  • Strong communication skills to deliver results to people with varying technical backgrounds and make appropriate recommendations as needed
  • Analytical ability to modify standard patterns in order to develop new business lines and capabilities
  • Project management capability to direct and participate in projects with several consultants and deliverables
  • Ability to travel within the US and abroad (about 40%)

What You Bring

  • Aircraft Mechanic II (SMM) personnel shall perform a full range of aircraft sheet metal duties including, but not limited to, disassemble, modify, repair, and reassemble complex aircraft metal items and systems, e.g., bulkheads, airframes, spars, air scoops, wings, flaps, pylons, sponsons, fuselages, skins, ribs, gussets, and fuel tanks. These items and systems have combined straight and curved edges and irregular curves and planes. A Sheet Metal Mechanic personnel shall analyze and evaluate structural damage to metal systems and items; develop patterns using a combination of parallel and radial line development; fabricate, install, and repair a variety of items and systems made from a wide variety of metals, e.g., stainless steel, copper sheet, magnesium, honeycomb, alloys, aluminum; replace sections and patch old systems; cut, bend, shape, and form metals for items that have numerous irregular angles, planes, and curves with varying pitch and circumference; use a variety of assembly joints, complex fastening systems, riveted or welded joints, drill or punch holes; and assemble or repair items by seaming, soldering, bolting, screwing, riveting, tacking, and spot welding. Assembly methods shall meet appearance and strength standards, as well as critical tolerances. As a condition of employment Contractor personnel will be required to pass a FRCSW administered certification skills examination. Contractor personnel shall use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, protractors, snap ring, height, depth, dial and screw pitch gauges, squares, rulers, trammel points, and sine bars.
  • Perform Depot Level Maintenance on H-53 aircraft metal and composite parts.
  • Must be able to perform all duties associated with the Depot Level repair of H-53 aircraft components.
  • Maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate to complex difficulty, including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatic, fuel systems and mechanical components.
