Job description: Overview:Job Title: COMSEC ManagerLocation: Los Angeles, CAJob Responsibilities:Trace Systems is actively recruiting for a COMSEC Manager to support, manage, and oversee COMSEC requirements in Los Angeles, CA.The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, implement, and oversee COMSEC policies and procedures for the LAAFB COMSEC account, ensuring compliance with AFMAN 17-1302-O, MPTO 00-33B-5001, CNSSI 4001, 4003, 4004.1 & 4005, and NSA 3-16 across multiple sites.
- Provide oversight and enforcement of COMSEC operations, ensuring proper management, safeguarding, and accountability of COMSEC materials and equipment.
- Lead risk management efforts related to COMSEC material security, identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage COMSEC personnel and operations, ensuring adherence to federal security standards, conducting training, and overseeing operational effectiveness.
- Advise on and develop COMSEC policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with applicable government directives and evolving security requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Government representatives, senior leadership, and internal teams for all COMSEC-related policy and compliance matters.
- Ensure compliance with all required regulations and directives by leading audits, assessments, and process evaluations to maintain operational integrity.
- Perform all duties required in the absence of the Government COMSEC representative, ensuring continuity of operations and compliance with applicable security standards.
Work is performed full-time on site in Los Angeles, CA.In compliance with California’s Pay Transparency requirements, the following information is being disclosed. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Trace salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.In addition, Trace provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, flexible spending accounts, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, company holidays and paid time off (PTO).Salary Minimum: $50,000Salary Maximum: $101,200Minimum Qualifications:
- Active, in-scope US Government issued Top Secret SCI clearance
- Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
- A minmum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
- GSEC or CISM or CISSO or FITSP-M or GCSA or GCIH or GSLC or GICSP or GCIA or CISSP-ISSMP or CISSP or equivalent or higher level certifications.
Desired Qualifications:
- Completed Training/certification in compliance with DoD Cyber Workforce Framework Qualification Matrix for COMSEC Manager: Intermediate and Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Training.
Education:
- Minimum of High School Diploma and three (3) years of relevant experience in COMSEC.
